Equally at home with classical or world music, Brasil Guitar Duo’s innovative programming includes a seamless blend of traditional classical and Brazilian works. The Duo weaves together classical guitar works of Bach, Sor, and Scarlatti with the traditional choro samba, maxixe and baiao music of their native land.
The Duo has received raves for their recordings, spirited appearances at music festivals, and concerts performed internationally.
Classical Guitar magazine exclaimed, “The maturity of musicianship and technical virtuosity is simply outstanding.”
Come hear one of the world’s best guitar duos perform live in our sanctuary – a rare treat not to be missed. Tickets are $30, $45 for premium seating, and $10 for students. A special showing of original artwork from the Salon des Artistes (a group of local artists) will be on display from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Grant Gardens. The show is free and open to the public. Select pieces will be available for sale.
