Parents, summer is upon us! First, we’re all going to enjoy having those special extra hours of togetherness. One week, perhaps another, maybe a trip, and everyone has earned it. But as we get back to work, the kids are looking for something more to fill the hours. It’s right and natural, and All Saints’ has a great solution for, as we like to say, the whole child. This year we’re offering two camps that complement each other. The names speak for themselves: Fun in the Sun and Tech Camp.
Running from June 24 to July 26, Fun in the Sun provides children in grades K through 8 a wide range of activities and experiences that emphasize fresh air and using their two hands to create things. Sports and games, performing arts, and music are complemented by learning adventures and arts and crafts, including painting and sewing. And there’s much more! Please take a look at our course catalogs for complete details at asds.org/summer.Take advantage of All Saints’ wide-open fields, Carmel Valley sunlight, and modern facilities like the advanced computer learning center and the brand new gym.
Tech Camp runs from June 10 to August 2 and offers more than just the typical entry-level computer experience for children in grades 4 through 8. Kids will have the opportunity to hone critical skills like photo and audio editing with popular software, as the All Saints’ Tech Camp helps them step further into a future they’ll need to be ready for, with basic skills in 3-D presentation and animation, elements of design and coding, and other avenues older generations simply could not take advantage of they way this young crop can and should. All software tools are critically acclaimed and widely available, such as Garage Band and iMovie, and several are new, well-respected, free programs which are currently becoming widely adopted, so your kids will have no trouble continuing their new mental excursions at home once they have the bug.
