Wednesday: Join us for Bible study from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. in Grant Hall as we explore Jesus’ life in a chronological study of the Gospels.
Thursday: Healthy Saints hike—Mark your calendar for three upcoming hikes. This Thursday, June 12, we’ll hike at Glen Deven Ranch from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Saturday, June 28, will find us at Andrew Molera State Park in Big Sur from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Finally, there will be a hike in Palo Corona from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1. Saturday: Commission on Ministry Discovery Day—My Call: Lay, Priest, or Deacon?is coming up on Saturday, June 14. This is the first requirement in the ordination process but it is also a valuable experience for lay people who are considering more intentional discernment about how they are called to ministry. Bonhoeffer’s Life Together—Join the congregation-wide reading of this engaging and non-scholarly book. A second conversation on Chapter One will be held on June 22, in Grant Hall after the 10:30 service. Copies are available in the church and the office for $10.
Good news! Rev. Gwen’s last Sunday is now July 13! The reception previously scheduled for next Sunday will now be held on that later date, and we have six additional weeks to enjoy her ministry with us.
Furniture available—As the chalet/sexton’s cottage is readied for new use, two items, an occasional shelf in marble and metal, and a California king bed in excellent condition, have become available. Santa Lucia Kids Camp: A day camp for children ages four to thirteen will be held June 23–25 and again July 14–16 at Santa Lucia Campground.
