Today: Sunday morning Bible study is offered each week in the rector’s study from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. We study the lessons appointed for the day.
Today: Lottery Hymn—At the 10:30 service each Sunday in July and August, you are invited to drop the name and number of your favorite hymn (from either the red or the green hymnal) into a basket. At the time of the announcements we will draw the winning hymn and sing that hymn at the close of the service.
Wednesday: The Bible study group meets in Grant Hall at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday: Healthy Saints hike—Join us on August 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. at Garrapata Beach in Big Sur, nine miles south of Carmel. The 1- to 2.5-mile hike is an easy walk along the beach and open coastal bluffs. Dogs are allowed. There will be an optional lunch at Rocky Point after the hike. Upcoming hikes include Wetlands of Watsonville (September 4), Andrew Molera State Park (September 13), Huckleberry Hills Nature Preserve (September 23), and Carmel’s own Hatton Canyon (September 25).
Thursday: Pasta with the Pastors—Fr. Rick will join with other priests, rabbis, and ministers to help serve the 22nd annual Pasta with the Pastors dinner in support of I-HELP’s ministries to the homeless. The dinner will be held at San Carlos Cathedral Hall in Monterey from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Reserve your tickets at WeHelpIHELP@gmail.com, or get them at the door.
Memorial gift for Michael Reeves—All Saints’ parishioners interested in contributing to a memorial for Bishop Mary’s husband, Michael Reeves, are invited to donate to the Bishop’s special project, the renovation of Sargent House in Salinas, the new home of the Diocese of El Camino Real. Send a check to All Saints’ and note “Michael Reeves” in the subject line.
Children’s Chapel—In September, we will begin an optional worship experience for children that will take place at the same time as the Liturgy of the Word; the children will return to church for Holy Communion. Occasional shelf available—As the chalet/sexton’s cottage is readied for new use, an occasional shelf in marble and metal has become available. It can be yours in exchange for a donation to All Saints’ in the amount of your choosing. To view the item, contact the office.
