Today: Sunday morning Bible study is offered each week in the rector’s study from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. We study the lessons appointed for the day.

Today: Children’s Worship at 10:30 a.m.—Pre-kindergarten and elementary children worship in an age-appropriate manner in Room A during the Liturgy of the Word, and then return during the Peace so that they can participate in Holy Communion. Parents may accompany their children. The nursery will still be in session, and parents may always keep their children with them in church. Children’s bulletins will continue to be available at the entrance of the church. Youth ChoirRehearsals begin today! Interested youth will rehearse at noon on the last Sunday of each month (at the beginning of the youth group meeting) and sing at the 10:30 service on the first Sunday of each month. Kathy Kirkwood will be conducting the youth and adult choirs.

Monday: Christian yoga—Creating space in the body through breath, movement, and stillness creates space in your heart and life. Join instructor Beth Lefebvre in Seccombe Hall from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. No previous yoga experience is required.

Tuesday: Healthy Saints hike in Hatton Canyon—This easy and dog-friendly hike in Carmel’s Hatton Canyon will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until around 11:30, with an optional lunch to follow. Upcoming hikes include the three wharves of Monterey (October 9), Garrapata Beach and bluffs (October 13), and McWay Falls and Partington Cove at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park in Big Sur.

Wednesday: Learning and Belonging the Episcopal Way—Teachers Al Alvarez, Fr. Rick Matters, Bill Reed, and Claudia Ward will offer a series of classes about the Episcopal expression of the Christian faith. Classes are held the five Wednesdays in October, and run from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Ask about childcare. These classes can lead to being received or confirmed into the Episcopal Church when Bishop Mary visits on Wednesday, November 4. Contact the office to enroll, or to find out more about confirmation or reception.

Saturday: Newcomers’ dinner—If you would like to learn more about All Saints’ and get to know some of our newer members, please contact the office about attending the October 4 dinner. No matter how long or short a time you have been at All Saints’, you are welcome.

Next Sunday: A Blessing of Animals for the Feast of St. Francis will be offered at both the 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. services on October 5.

Next Sunday: Conversation on Chapter Two of Bonhoeffer’s Life Together—Join Father Rick in Grant Hall after the 10:30 service on Sunday, October 5.

Next Sunday: Evensong, a traditional Anglican service of music, prayer, and reflection, will be offered at 5:30 p.m.

Honored Women’s Day—The annual gathering will take place October 11 at St. Paul’s, Salinas. The day will include the United Thank Offering ingathering, a viewing of the film “Girl Rising,” a luncheon, Holy Eucharist, and the celebration of the honored woman from each congregation. More information is available on the parish bulletin board.
