Today: Children’s Worship at 10:30 a.m.—Pre-kindergarten and elementary children worship in an age-appropriate manner in Room A during the Liturgy of the Word, and then return during the Peace so that they can participate in Holy Communion. Parents may accompany their children. The nursery will still be in session, and parents may always keep their children with them in church. Children’s bulletins are available at the entrance of the church.
Monday: Prayerful yoga—Creating space in the body through breath, movement, and stillness creates space in your heart and life. Join instructor Beth Lefebvre in Seccombe Hall from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. No previous yoga experience is required.
Tuesday—An Easter festival of flowers will be held at the outdoor chapel of All Saints’ Day School at 8:00 a.m.
Tuesday—The book club will meet in the library at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday—Bible study will not take place this week, but will resume April 22.
Wednesday—The Friends of St. Benedict will meet in the library from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for study and prayer. Our aim is to integrate the wisdom of monastic life and spiritual theology into our everyday lives as Christians. We meet the third Wednesday of every month, and all are welcome.
Thursday: Healthy Saints hike in Soberanes Canyon—This popular hike begins by skirting a cactus-covered hillside, but soon enters a beautiful redwood forest. The outing will last from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Contact Mother Cynthia at 520-260-5158 or email@example.com if you’d like to join the group.
Friday and Saturday—Retreat with Bishop Mary: Our time of discernment with Bishop Mary will begin with a potluck dinner on Friday evening, April 17, at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday we’ll meet from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a continental breakfast and sack lunch. Bishop Mary will guide us through a process of self-definition as a parish: Who are we? What are our needs? What is our spirituality at All Saints’? What makes us tick? What do we want and need in our new priest? This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the bishop and help shape the future of our congregation. The sign-up sheet is in the back of the church on a clipboard.
All Saints’ Day School fundraiser—All Saints’ students have created self-portraits on eco-friendly tea towels! These adorable towels make wonderful keepsakes or are practical for everyday use. Please join us in supporting our school on Sunday, April 26, at the 10:30 a.m. service. Tea towels are $15 each (cash and checks accepted).
Sunday handout deadline—To be included in next Sunday’s handout, your announcement must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on the preceding Wednesday. Most special parish events are included in the announcements for three weeks before they occur. Contact Andrea Matters at firstname.lastname@example.org or 624-3090.
