Monday, November 9:  Prayerful yoga –Creating space in the body through breath, movement, and stillness creates space in your heart and life.  Join instructor Beth Lefevre in Seccombe Hall from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.  No previous yoga experience is required.

Wednesday, Wednesday November 11 – Spirit Connections: People of the Book – Jews, Christian, Muslims.  How do we connect to God on a daily basis?  All Saints’ is sponsoring a series of three evenings wherein representatives of these three faith traditions will share their faith journeys with one another.  Bring something to throw into the salad bowl and join us in this Spirit Connection among we who trace our roots to Abraham.  Join us November 11 and 18 from 6 to 8 pm. in Seccombe Hall.

Fine Arts and Crafts Faire November 21, 2015! A CARMEL TRADITION! Always held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, come and join the holiday shoppers on November 21 for our famous Annual Fine Arts and Crafts Faire! Local artisans have been working all year to produce lovely jewelry, fine ceramics, holiday tree ornaments, and a vast array of colorful handcrafted gifts and trinkets for your favorite family members and friends. This event helps benefit our church’s Outreach program. Hours: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Come early and beat the rush!

The Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service “National Day of Gratitude” will be held on November 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Monterey, 501 Eldorado Street, Monterey.  Please bring non-perishable food items to help the Food Bank of Monterey County.  Sponsored by the Interfaith Outreach of Carmel.

A Thanksgiving Service of Morning Prayer will be held at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, November 26.  Bill Read will lead the service.

Thanksgiving Day Dinner at All Saints’ – It has been a tradition to have dinner in Seccombe Hall on Thanksgiving Day for those All Saints’ parishioners wishing to attend.  If you are willing to coordinate and host the event (and cook the turkey, which the church will provide) please let Claudia Ward know.  If you wish to attend and provide a potluck side dish, please sign up at the back of the church.  The dinner taking place will depend on sufficient interest among our members.

Food boxes outreach – December 3 – Every year the Outreach Commission packs and distributes 96 giant food boxes.  Filled with flour, oil, soup and countless other food items, the boxes are distributed to those in need.  All Saints’ parishioners assemble the food and then local Boy Scouts pack the boxes.  This giving event happens at 9 a.m. in Seccombe Hall on Thursday December 3.  If you can spare an hour, please do.  Contact Hans Lehmann.

Hold the date:  Saturday, December 12 for our annual Dickensian family get together dinner – 5:30 to 8 p.m.  Details to follow.

Ushers needed for the 10:30 service – There is a pressing need for ushers to serve at our 10:30 a.m. service.  This is an important and rewarding way to serve the church.  Anyone can do it.  Men and women welcome.  Contact Don Britton at 831-455-5411 or bestpropcv@aol.com

Needed:  lay Eucharistic ministers – We have a number of parishioners who cannot attend Sunday services yet still want to receive Holy Communion once in a while.  We need licensed people who can make home visits and administer the sacraments.  We can arrange the appropriate training.  If you are interested in this important role, please call the office. 624-3883, or call Claudia: 373-5069.

Needed: a volunteer for the parish office front desk – We are seeking a volunteer to greet visitors coming to our office, answer phones, and help with administrative tasks in the parish office.  Help us present a friendly face and voice to our community.  The time slot available is every other Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon.  Rosemary Smith has volunteered to help on Tuesdays, but would like to alternate weeks with another volunteer.  If you can help, contact Ray Krise in the office at 624-3883, ext. 14 or ray.krise@allsaintscarmel.org.
