Vestry Retreat – today’s visiting clergy – members of the vestry are attending a retreat at San Antonio Mission, Jolon, California on February 12th through the 14th. Father Joseph Patronik will preside at our 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services today, February 14th. The Rev. Amber Sturgess will preside at the 5:30 p.m. service.
Monday, February 15th: Prayerful yoga –Creating space in the body through breath, movement, and stillness creates space in your heart and life. Join instructor Beth Lefevre in Seccombe Hall from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. No previous yoga experience is required. Donations go to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund.
Tuesday, February 16th: Come Knit with Us! Prayer Shawl Ministry will be held in Classroom A from noon until 1:00 p.m. Bring a sack lunch.
Wednesday, February 17th – Bible study at 10:30 a.m. in Grant Hall. We are studying the Epistle to the Philippians, led by Bill Reed and Pastor Amber.
Lenten Soup Suppers – Wednesday Lenten Soup Suppers begin on 17 February. Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Program begins at 6:30 p.m. Our theme this year will revolve around our five core values: Worship, Faith, Service, Community and Beauty. Those will also be the themes of the homilies given on the preceding Sundays in order to provide synchronicity and involve the whole parish, since not everyone is able to attend the Wednesday suppers. We have soup makers for almost every week. If you would like to bring salad and/or bread, please add your name to the sign-up sheet at church or in the office. Lenten Suppers continue: February 24, and March 2, 9, and 16.
Lenten Giving Boxes – In the church on the table by the front doors, please find Lenten Giving Boxes, our Annual “Give thanks for our blessings” offering which goes to St. Patrick’s School in Haiti. For parents in poverty, the hope that their children will learn and so have a better life is a great gift. A check to All Saints’-Haiti is one way to fill the box. Coins also happily accepted. Pick up of the boxes will be on Palm Sunday or bring to our church office. E-leg Mesi (Thank you!)
Stewardship Workshop – February 20th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1071 Pajaro Street, Salinas. The featured speaker will be the Rev. Canon Timothy M. Dombek, Canon for Stewardship and Planned Giving of the Diocese of Arizona, who will speak on ways to talk to kids about Stewardship, recruitment of team members and planned giving. Eucharistic Minister and Eucharistic Visitor training. Two of the most rewarding ministries at All Saints’ are serving as a Eucharistic Minister or Eucharistic Visitor. If you are interesting in either Ministry please come to a specialty training scheduled on Saturday, February 27th. The two hour morning session will begin at 10:00 a.m. and focus on the specific duties and requirements of Eucharistic Ministers. The two hour afternoon session will begin at 12:00 p.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m. and will examine the duties and responsibilities of a Eucharistic Visitor. Bring a brown bag for lunch. Hold the date! At a ceremony celebrating our new ministry together we, along with our Bishop, will install our new Priest-in-Charge, the Rev. Amber Sturgess, on Sunday April 10th at 4 p.m. with a reception to follow. This service will replace the usual 5:30 p.m. Eucharist. More details will follow as they are available, but please plan to attend.
Donations for the Food Pantry – The food pantry can use canned meats, tuna, peanut butter, canned fruit or vegetables. Please place donated items in the basket at the entrance to the church to be brought forward at the offertory. Thank you for your generosity towards those in need.
Parish Directory Update – We have once again begun the process of updating the Parish directory. You will find a directory on the back table in the sanctuary. Please review your information and make any changes, corrections or additions on that directory. If the information listed is correct, please initial your entry as OK. If you are not listed and want to be, please complete one of the forms that is provided and leave it in the basket next to the directory.

Have you ever wanted to toll the bell? All Saints’ has a great bell; just stand out in front when it is rung! A small contingent of Carmelites is now tolling the bell twelve times at noon each day at All Saints’ and Church of the Wayfarer. They are looking to add a few more people to the list. Would you be interested in signing on to toll the bell one day a week at noon? If so, talk to Ray in the church office. 624-3883
