Monday, October 10th – Prayerful Yoga – Creating space in the body through breath, movement, and stillness creates space in your heart and life. Join instructor Beth Lefevre in Seccombe Hall from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. No previous yoga experience is required. Donations go to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund.
Tuesday, October 11th – Join the All Saints’ Book Club on Tuesday, October 11th in the Library at 6:00 p.m. We will be discussing The Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. Thursday, October 13th at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel: Our Contemplative Prayer Group continues its weekly meetings to practice Centering Prayer. We will begin with a short reading from Fr. Thomas Keating’s book, Open Mind, Open Heart, followed by Centering Prayer meditation, and a short discussion about our practice. Please join us even if you have not attended a workshop.

October 15th at 3 p.m. “Bach to Bossa Nova” pipe organ concert at St. Dunstan’s Church. Organist Kimo Smith, DMA. Works by Bach, Durufle and Bedard. The concert also includes “Tunes from the British Isles” and three “Jazz Organ Preludes: Swing Five, Bossa Nova, and Afro-Cuban.” Suggested donation of $20.00 at the door; students and under eighteen attend free. Tuesday, October 18th at 7:30 p.m. – All Saints’ is blessed to host a second performance by the Monterey Symphony, this one featuring Anna Petrova & artists, playing Russian music. This concert especially complements our Icons in Transformation exhibit artist’s Russian roots. The nave and Grant Hall doors will be open an hour prior to the concert, and the concert will be followed with a reception in Seccombe Hall. What a great night to invite friends! Tickets, $25, may be purchased through our website.
Friday, October 21st at 7:00 p.m. – We know you will want to attend when our own parishioner, Bill Whobrey, speaks on “Encounters in Faith: Medieval Pilgrimage to the East.” He gave a synopsis at the Icons in Transformation Gala, and his talk is sure to be delightful as well as informative. Again, doors to the nave and Grant Hall will open one hour prior to Bill’s talk, and there will be a reception afterwards.
Wednesday, October 26th – Bible study led by Bill Reed, continuing the study of the Epistle to the Colossians. Meeting will take place in the Library.
Due to the busy fall schedule at All Saints’ the upcoming cohort, “An Exploration in Group Spiritual Direction” is being rescheduled for Spring 2017. Please stay tuned for more information. Our Memorial Garden Project is nearing completion. Consider buying a brick to commemorate a loved one in your family or reserve one for yourself. This project is being paid for completely with donations. This will be a beautiful meditative spot when completed. Jana Gill is the contact if you have questions.
Daily Morning Prayer – Welcome Happy Morning! You are invited to join All Saints’ parishioners every weekday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for prayers, music, and reflection at Morning Prayer in the All Saints’ Chapel of Saints Benedict and Scholastica (opening onto 9th Street).
There is a need for sleeping bags and windbreaker jackets for those in need. Jackets need to be clean and light enough to roll up tightly. Marked containers will be under the tables by the front doors. Thanks from your Outreach Commission. Thanks from those in need.
Donations for the Food Pantry – The food pantry can use canned meats, tuna, peanut butter, canned fruit or vegetables, and toiletries. Please place donated items in the basket at the entrance to the church. Thank you for your generosity towards those in need.
