The Icons in Transformation exhibit will be open to the public – for free – through today at 4 p.m., November 20th.
Icons Exhibit Artwork Purchase for our Nave – Many of you have expressed an interest in donating money to purchase a piece of artwork from the Icons in Transformation exhibit to keep in the nave. Four pieces have been selected as possibilities, and photos of them are displayed at the back of the church. There is also a paper for you to write your name and telephone number if you are interested in contributing. Vote for the piece you prefer.
Individual Icons Purchases – also, if you are considering purchasing a piece of artwork for yourself, please do it soon so Ludmila can write the Certificate of Appraisal for your piece. She would prefer to write this prior to her leaving for Sweden on November 20th.
Monday, November 21st – Prayerful Yoga – Creating space in the body through breath, movement, and stillness creates space in your heart and life. Join instructor Beth Lefevre in Seccombe Hall from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. No previous yoga experience is required. Donations go to the Rector’s Discretionary Fund.
Monday and Tuesday, November 21st – 22nd – Icons in Transformation Exhibit Take Down– We really need your help from 9:00-5:00 on Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22. We’re hoping to get all of the artwork down, removed from the pedestals, holes patched, and maybe even painted in that time. There is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church. Please plan to help out so we can all enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.
Tuesday, November 22nd –7 p.m. Interfaith Outreach of Carmel 8th Annual Community Thanksgiving Service at Congregation Beth Israel, 5716 Carmel Valley Road. Prayers, readings and traditions from local faith communities. Music by the Monterey Peninsula Gospel Community Choir. Bring canned goods to offer to the Food Bank. Wednesday, November 23rd at 10:30 a.m. – Bible Study group will meet in the Library led by Bill Reed. The group continues its study of the Epistle to the Colossians.

Thursday, December 1st at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel: The Contemplative Prayer Group will not meet on Thanksgiving night but will resume on December 1st. We will begin with a short reading from Fr. Thomas Keating’s book, Open Mind, Open Heart, followed by Centering Prayer meditation, and a short discussion about our practice. Please join us even if you have not attended a workshop.

Tuesday, December 6th from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Join Lisa Bennett and Tim McManus of COPA for a workshop entitled “Building Community Through Conversation.” Building community requires top-notch listening and conversational interaction. Learn how to do this better, and how to lead your own group in this process, by attending this workshop at All Saints’ Church in the Parish Hall. The goal is to get at least twelve participants from All Saints’, plus another eight from other groups. Our Memorial Garden Project has been completed. Consider buying a brick to commemorate a loved one in your family or reserve one for yourself. This will be a beautiful meditative spot when completed. Jana Gill is the contact if you have questions.
Daily Morning Prayer – Welcome Happy Morning! You are invited to join All Saints’ parishioners every weekday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for prayers, music, and reflection at Morning Prayer in the All Saints’ Chapel of Saints Benedict and Scholastica (door on 8th and Lincoln).
There is a need for sleeping bags, windbreaker jackets, and socks for those in need. Jackets need to be clean and light enough to roll up tightly. Marked containers will be under the tables by the front doors. Thanks from your Outreach Commission. Thanks from those in need.
Donations for the Food Pantry – The food pantry can use canned meats, tuna, peanut butter, canned fruit or vegetables, and toiletries. Please place donated items in the basket at the entrance to the church. Thank you for your generosity towards those in need.
