The Salisbury Cathedral Choir will be here this Saturday, the 18th! Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. We do hope you’re planning to come, and are bringing friends and family! Parishioners are invited to join the choristers for dinner after the performance, prior to their leaving for Stanford. Gwynn Romano will be serving spaghetti with her fabulous Bolognese sauce!!
We are hoping to provide scholarships to the nineteen child choristers so that they may visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium prior to their performance at All Saints’. Would you be willing to provide a scholarship? The cost is $30. If so, please drop off your check at the church office, memo Salisbury Choir, before the 18th.

Friday, March 17th at 7:30 p.m. the Hungarian pianist, Peter Toth will perform in recital at All Saints’. Peter has played at All Saints’ twice before. He has won top prize in numerous piano competitions including the American Paderewski Piano Competition (2013) and the Franz Liszt International Piano Competition in Los Angeles (2010). His program here at All Saints’ will feature works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms. Tickets available at the door: $20.00 (Students $10.00). For more information: 831-624-4905.
Lent and Easter News
Lenten Potluck Suppers continue Wednesdays at 6 p.m. in Seccombe Hall. Wednesday evening suppers will repeat weekly during Lent at 6:00 p.m. except for Wednesday the 22nd. That week the potluck will be after the Sunday, March 26th 10:30 a.m. service and will be a lunch followed by the meeting. These meetings will be focused on readings from Radical Hospitality: Benedict’s Way of Love by Fr. Daniel Homan and Lonni Collins Pratt. We will explore the ancient path of loving living in the way of Benedictine Hospitality. Study books are available for purchase after the service or in the office during the week for $15.00. Easter Flowers – If you would like to donate to the floral adornment of our sanctuary for Easter, please fill out a donation slip (found at the back of the church – please print clearly) and place it in the offering today or bring it to the church office. Memorials and thanksgivings will be noted in Easter bulletins if received by Monday, April 10th.
For the Lenten Season, the Outreach Commission will distribute Lenten Mite boxes. They will be available at the back of the church. Please hand them in with your Easter donations. One half of the funds will be given to the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund and one half to St. Patrick’s School in Haiti.
In addition, we will collect New Socks on Palm Sunday, which will be designated for homeless women and men. White or any color is OK and heavy weight is desirable. Please place socks in the “socks” basket at back of church. THANKS!!!

Notes: Maundy Thursday service may be preceded by the Agape Dinner, if there is interest. Only one service on Good Friday this year. The Saturday Easter Vigil replaces the usual 5:00 p.m. Saturday worship service. The early service on Easter Sunday is at 8:30 a.m. (not 8:00 a.m.).
Agape dinner before the Maundy Thursday service? Rev. Amber and the Worship Committee are discussing the possibility of reinstating the Agape Dinner prior to our Maundy Thursday service, if there is interest. If you are interested, please indicate so on the sign-up sheet at the back of the church.

Evening Worship time changes – Beginning in February, a worship service will no longer be celebrated on Sunday evenings. Instead there will be a worship service on Saturday evenings at 5:00 p.m. Likewise, Evensong will take place on the first Saturday of the month at 5:00 p.m.
Joining Hands Benefit Shop, a program of Interfaith Outreach of Carmel is seeking additional volunteers. We are in our 8th year of operation and our profits support local nonprofit organizations that help prevent homelessness.
Volunteers are needed for 2-4 hour shifts from Monday through Saturday. There are many jobs open including merchandizing, cashiering, sales, sorting, pricing and marketing.

Mark your calendars! This fall we are going to be treated to a fabulous organ concert by Clay Couri to introduce our mighty new organ to the community. Clay has also arranged for a superb tenor soloist to perform for us. The concert will be the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 24. Stay tuned. More details to come.

The All Saints’ choir is seeking singers. Our faithful little choir could use a few more songbirds from bass to soprano. If you like to sing, please consider joining us. The 2017 Altar Flower Calendar has been posted in the back of the church. Almost all dates in 2017 are now available for you to contribute flowers to honor or memorialize a special event or loved one. We ask for a minimum contribution of $65 which is the cost of the flowers. More than one person can sign up for that special Sunday – it is within the rules to have multiple dedications! Our Memorial Garden Project has been completed. Consider buying a brick to commemorate a loved one in your family or reserve one for yourself. This is a beautiful meditative spot. Jana Gill is the contact if you have questions.
Donations for the Food Pantry – The food pantry can use canned meats, tuna, peanut butter, canned fruit or vegetables, and toiletries. Please place donated items in the basket at the entrance to the church. Thank you for your generosity towards those in need.
