New or Noteworthy This Week

If you wish to participate in the Vigil at the Altar of Repose in the Chapel (Maundy Thursday 9 p.m. until 8 a.m. Good Friday morning.) please sign up on the signup sheet at the back of the church.

The Book Club will hold its next discussion Tuesday, April 11, 6:00 pm. in the Library.

The group will be discussing Ben Tarnoff’s The Bohemians:  Mark Twain and the San Francisco Writers Who Reinvented American Literature.  Candace will be facilitating the discussion.  She will bring lettuce and dressing for the salad.  Please bring something to add to the salad or a goodie to share.

On Good Friday, offerings across The Episcopal Church will support the four dioceses in the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East.  Funds are used to promote peace and mutual understanding through pastoral care, health care and education programs throughout the region.  Our Good Friday Offering is an expression of our solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Christ who keep faith alive throughout the land of the Holy One.  The offering at All Saints’ Good Friday service will go to this cause.  If you are unable to attend the service on Good Friday but would like to make a contribution, checks should be written to All Saints’ with a clear notation “Good Friday Offering.”

The All Saints’ Choir would gladly welcome a few saints who would like to join us to sing for Easter Vigil and/or the 10:30 service on Easter Sunday! We suspect there are people sitting in church every Sunday who love to sing (we hear you!) but are unable to make an ongoing commitment to singing in the choir. Well, here’s your chance to help swell the chorus on Easter Sunday. The music we are preparing is beautiful and uplifting, but not difficult. Rehearsals are from 7:00 to 9:00 on Thursdays. Please join us for the rehearsal on the 13th if you love to sing and will be here for Easter. When you find out how much fun we have singing together, you might want to keep coming!
