The altar flowers are given by Nan Borreson to the glory of God and in memory of her parents Imelda and Ralph Borreson.
A Walk through the Holy Eucharist
Worship is the anchor and foundation for who we are as followers of Jesus Christ in the Episcopal tradition. It is essential for our spiritual formation and growth. When we come to worship it requires the sacrifice of our full attention – body, soul, spirit, and mind. Keeping our attention focused on God takes practice and an understanding of what we are doing in each moment.

Saturday Eucharist Service Discontinued
The decision to discontinue the weekly Saturday 5:00 PM Eucharist service was presented to the congregation by Rev. Amber and the vestry at the semi-annual meeting on September 3rd. Therefore, from September 17th forward, the only Saturday evening service will be the traditional candlelit Evensong on the first Saturday of every month at 5:00 PM.
Fine Arts and Crafts Fair
November and then December are just around the corner. Start making your list of people you need gifts for and plan to buy them at the Fine Arts & Crafts Fair Saturday, November 18, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Help feed our community’s hungry by filling one of the red bags located under the table at the back of the church. Items that are needed most are printed on the bags. No glass items please. Many thanks from your Outreach Commission who will include your contributions in our daily food bags. Please return bags to the back of the church.
All Saints’ Book Group
The All Saints’ Book Group meets in the Church Library on the second Tuesday of each month. We enjoy a light dinner at 6:00 and then begin our discussion at 6:30. Please bring something to add to the salad or a goodie to share. The next meeting is slated for October 10th. The book is Ben H. Winters’ Underground Airlines. Contact Kathy Nielsen, email@example.com, for more information.
For over 20 years, All Saint’s church has hosted twenty six I-HELP men once a month for dinner and the night. (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) If you are interested in helping this inspiring volunteer program, by cooking, serving, or eating with the men, please contact Hans Lehmann at (831) 624-0540. And Don’t Forget
Prayer shawls. Hugs for our homebound parishioners: Three of us meet in the church office from one to three on the third Thursday of the month, making “prayer shawls” for members of All Saints’ who land in the hospital, or are confined to their homes for a variety of reasons. The “shawls” can be knitted, crocheted, or quilted; what matters is that these folks know that they are thought of and prayed for. Please consider joining us, even if you can’t come every month. Also, if you are unable to meet at that time, you are welcome to contribute to our supply of afghans, blankets and lap robes. Call Claudia Ward, 373-5069, if you have any questions.
The 2017 Altar Flower Calendar has been posted in the back of the church. Almost all dates in 2017 are now available for you to contribute flowers to honor or memorialize a special event or loved one. We ask for a minimum contribution of $65 which is the cost of the flowers. More than one person can sign up for that special Sunday – it is within the rules to have multiple dedications! Please contact Mila Murphy with any questions.
Our Memorial Garden Project has been completed. Consider buying a brick to commemorate a loved one in your family or reserve one for yourself. This is a beautiful meditative spot. Jana Gill is the contact if you have questions.
Office Front Desk Volunteers. We are currently seeking volunteers to help out at the front desk in the office. Please consider doing this valuable service ministry. Help to welcome those who visit our office and call us on the phone. If interested, please contact Rev. Amber, Candace DiLello, or Ray Krise.
Announcement deadline – To be included in next Sunday’s bulletin, your announcement must be submitted by 11 a.m. on the preceding Wednesday. Most special parish events are included in the announcements for three weeks before they occur. Contact Ray Krise in the office at 831-624-3883.
