Love Is the Way – Episcopal Church Women Retreat – August 13-14, 2018
The Episcopal Church Women invites all women of the diocese to the 36th annual Mary Lou Thompson Retreat. The theme of this year’s retreat is “Love Is the Way.”
At the recent General Convention of the Episcopal Church, Presiding Bishop Michael Curry provided the focus of “love is the way” as we move forward as Christians in our world today. Please bring to the retreat a story to share about how you have experienced this love.
The retreat is sponsored by the Diocesan Episcopal Church Women of El Camino Real. Registration deadline is August 3rd. For more information, Contact ECW President, Diane Lovelace. Call or text: 408-813-4080 or email DiLovelace@aol.com
All Saints’ Episcopal Church Wisdom Day – Saturday, August 18th
We begin with Centering Prayer, Lectio divina, work in silence until noon, followed by lunch together.
Please plan to attend.
Once again, the annual PASTA WITH THE PASTORS is coming up.
It is I-HELP’s major fundraiser of the year and will be held on Thursday, August 30 from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M. at the San Carlos Parish Hall in Monterey. As you know, the I-HELP men are a group of homeless men whom ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH feed and house once a month. If you would like to attend the dinner, tickets are available at the door, $20.00 per meal. In addition to dinner, there will be live entertainment, testimonials from program participants, and a silent auction. Or, if you would like to make a donation or find out more about the I-HELP program, please see anyone on the Outreach Committee. Thanks. Hans Lehmann 624-0540
Episcopal Relief & Development partners with NorCal Diocese to aid fire victims
Episcopal Relief & Development is partnering with the Diocese of Northern California to provide emergency support to help the most vulnerable in communities impacted by the Carr Fire that started on July 23. The agency is providing support for rental assistance, short-term storage for recovered belongings, food, gasoline and replacement of lost household supplies.
“The diocese and congregations are working together taking into account lessons from last year’s devastating fires,” said Katie Mears, Senior Director of Episcopal Relief & Development’s US Disaster Program. “It is heartening to witness the church work together at all levels to monitor the fires, assess damage and help those most in need.”
Please support Episcopal Relief & Development’s response to the wildfires in California by donating to the US Disaster Fund and praying for all those impacted.
Most of the upcoming Sundays are available for YOU to donate the flowers and make a personal dedication. Please sign up on the calendar on the bulletin board in the back of the church. The minimum contribution is $65, the cost of the flowers. Please contact Mila Murphy with any questions. Also, if Mila has not contacted you regarding your dedication two weeks before your chosen Sunday, please get in touch with her.

Help feed our community’s hunger by filling one of the red bags located under the table at the back of the church. Items that are needed most are printed on the bags. No glass items please. Many thanks from your Outreach Commission who will include your contributions in our daily food bags. Please return bags to the back of the church.
