Altar Guild

ALTAR GUILD expresses the gift of serving at the altar and caring for sacred vessels. Its primary responsibility is to maintain the the altar in the main sanctuary. It also maintains the small chapel that is located at the northwest corner the of the ground floor of the main sanctuary building. The chapel was used for the first time for the Good Friday Vigil. Those who spent a half hour (or more) in prayer there know how beautifully the altar guild prepared the room. Nancy Collins donated the lovely tapestry hanging above the altar. The window panes that depict various saints, which will be hung are not stained glass but an inexpensive substitute which have been in the church’s possession for many years. They cost $45 each to restore them for use. Six have already been paid for. There will be ten altogether. If you are interested in paying for one of the windows, talk to Claudia Ward.
